They crashed out being held to a 2-2 home draw to minnows Guinea. Yes Guinea held the mighty Super Eagles on their home turf. It was the same old same old. Nigeria never lacks technical ability and flare. That was on display as usual. Instead it was organization and communication.
Ahead 2-1 all they needed was to see the match out and they would slip through. Instead the bench thought they still needed another goal to improve their goal differential. Yes it should never have come down to a home result against Guinea though. Nigeria has far too much talent to not qualify for the Cup of Nations.
